Family receives death threats ahead of Casey Anthony’s possible release
Casey Anthony’s family has received death threats ahead of the 25-year-old’s possible release Thursday following her acquittal on charges that she killed her 2-year-old daughter Caylee, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office told NBC News.
Police were at the Anthony family’s home on Wednesday, one day after the verdict, NBC reported. Authorities would not release details about the threats.
Casey Anthony will be sentenced Thursday for lying to investigators two days after she was acquitted of first-degree murder. The hearing is due to begin at 9 a.m. ET.
Analysts said Anthony could be hard-pressed to piece together some semblance of a normal life.
